How to find Boiling Wells:

First of all find Mina Road in St Werberghs. Go all the way to the end (the opposite end to the M32) - under the railway bridge, past the new eco houses, and around to the right. Soon you will see a wooden  building on your right. That’s it. Meet there at 10am.

Please note: you can’t park in Boiling Wells Lane so please park around the farm site on Watercress Road / Mina Road.

Both workshops will follow the same format, starting with classroom-based learning followed by a herb walk, some lunch (please bring some with you),  and then a practical session on making herbal preparations.   Workshops will focus on several herbs that are in season at the time. Subjects covered will include:

1. Plant identification.

2. Herb actions for these plants – introducing a way of systematising your knowledge of herbal medicine and how to assess herbs through taste and appearance.

3. What needs are being met? Both workshops will include an ongoing discussion on what needs are being met by herbal medicine in the current climate, and what role herbal medicine might play in a theoretical future post carbon economy.

4. Rules of harvesting.

5. Preparations for these herbs.
