Max Drake

I have been involved with Herbal Medicine for many years both as a manufacturer and as a Medical Herbalist, and I am one of the founders of the Urban Fringe Dispensary. I qualified with a first class Bsc degree in Herbal Medicine at the University of Westminster, and am a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH).

My training covered general as well as plant medicine and included the same diagnostic skills as mainstream doctors. I am a holistic practitioner, believing it is necessary to identify the underlying causes of disease, as well as focusing on alleviating symptoms.

I also teach herbal medicine courses in Bristol at the Urban Fringe Dispensary and contribute to the whole Patient Care module at University of Bristol School of Medicine. My approach draws on traditional herbal practice informed by current research.
