Sarah Mclellan
I offer person centred holistic massage and bodywork, creating a session which is focused on the whole of you, physical, emotional and spiritual.
My Approach
I am very grateful to have trained with BCMB as their ethos of excellence and putting the client at the centre of the work is vital to me. I see my client as the author of their body, I may have a practitioner’s understanding of anatomy, physiology and pathology but the client knows how they feel, how they live in their body and how they would like to feel. Without the client’s input the work can only ever be mediocre, with it, we can work together to make each session as focused and therapeutic as possible.
Alongside massage, gentle passive mobilisation of joints and limbs is a key feature of my work. Gently remobilising areas where movement may have become limited due to injury or the daily stresses of life. It can reinvigorate joints and related muscles inviting and inspiring the body to ‘let go’ and to begin to move more freely once again. Clients have fed back that while massage makes movement possible by reducing tension, mobilization work takes it a step further buy giving the body an actual experience of movement it had forgotten was possible. This can lead to increased mobility in the long term.

Practical Information about sessions:
Timing – session can be from 20 – 90 minutes long
